New England Peptide is a worldwide leading provider of custom peptides and custom antibodies to Biopharmaceutical and Research markets. Summary/Objective

NEP and PI is seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team.  This position will be responsible for managing and developing the sales team, achieving sales targets, and driving company growth. Responsibilities also include development and implementation of strategic sales plans in support of company goals promoting sales growth and superior customer service.

 

Essential Functions

  • Lead and further develop the sales team to support achievement of stated sales goals.
  • Ensure sales team maintains complete and accurate customer data within Salesforce and adheres to stated sales processes and practices.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify and implement improvements.
  • Develop annual sales plan in support of corporate strategy and objectives.
  • Building and growing existing client relationships.
  • Must acquire new business, this role requires prospecting and hunting new business.
  • Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and analyses.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with both current and new customers.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, CSO, Sales Team and Customer Service Team.

 

Qualifications

  • Broad understanding of the life sciences industry, background, and key players.
  • Experience selling peptides or other custom manufactured products strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales management.
  • Willing and able to travel (national & international) up to 50% of the time to monitor and prioritize a high volume of contacts.
  • Proven track record of identifying and growing sales with existing and new accounts.
  • Bright, dynamic and resourceful, with strong customer service orientation and positive can-do attitude; never satisfied with status quo, continually striving for excellence.
  • Broad strategic thinking abilities, excellent business acumen coupled with excellent leadership skills .
  • Proven analytical skills are critical to analyze problems, make decisions and drive sales execution.
  • Ability to organize, lead, and motivate teams to drive completion of high-quality deliverables.
  • Proactive work style and ability to work independently and manage cross-functional activities with limited oversight.
